Transformation of Healthcare in Pakistan

In 2016, a research revealed that Pakistan ranked 149th among 188 countries in the world of progressing towards the United Nation’s health related sustainable development goals. The study was based on evaluating score on the scale of zero to hundred.

If we see the south Asian region in the world, it is far behind than the rest of the world if you compare the healthcare with other countries in the different continents of the world.

Although we have not seen such great developments in the healthcare sector of Pakistan but we have seen that some initiatives were taken by some entrepreneurs in last 2 to 3 years to take healthcare to the next level and provide better facilitation of healthcare to the people of Pakistan. There are many healthcare startups that came into existence in Pakistan with different motives, some were purely focused towards connecting patients with doctors only whereas some are focused towards providing door to door healthcare services as well.

One name that focused on providing 360-degree healthcare solutions is Shifa4U. The platform providing different healthcare services which includes lab tests. Online Booking of X-Ray, MRI, CT-Scan, Ultrasound and other imaging services from top diagnostic centers of Pakistan and they are also providing top international medical consultation as well.

As there are other startups too who are focusing on connecting patients with doctors efficiently which reduce the time of patient in getting consultation from doctors and the patient can get the treatment on time.

So, despite having not so much great ranking in the healthcare sector among 188 countries, Pakistan still manages to have some wonderful people who are working hard to make things possible and deliver the right medical attention to the patients in the country. We hope for more and more great things for the better future of all countries in the healthcare domain.
